Early today students organization of kibabii university headed by their president victor koech has threatened to join lectures on their strike if the government fail to solve the ongoing issues of lectures strike.

While addressing the media today koech and other leaders express their disappointment towards ministry of education and the national treasury for failing to realise the amount of money demanded by lectures.

The students body of kibabii university stands in solidarity with their lectures and demand that the government fulfil their promises to lectures in order to end their ongoing strike that has gone for two weeks now.

Koech also express his disappointment to government and say that the ongoing lectures strike is causing disruption to 2025/26 academic calendar like delaying graduation period and also causing financial strain to parents that are providing upkeep money to students who are not learning.

Soku leaders further cautioned that the idle time on campuses is exposing students to high-risk behaviors such as gambling, drug abuse, early pregnancy and indiscipline cases.

Koech  and other leaders demanded that the government resolve the dispute within the expected time ,warning that if no meaningful action is not taken, students will have no choice but to join lecturers in their push for justice.
