  Haggai juma a second-year student  at Kibabii University pursuing Bachelor degrees in education whose story is quietly inspiring many comrade around him. Like many other university students across Kenya, Haggai receives HELB funds to support his education. But instead of using all the money for his day-to-day expenses, he made a difrent decision that many students talk about but few ever attempt. He chose to invest part of his HELB loan into a small business . While others saw temporary comfort in spending the money, Haggai saw an opportunity. He wanted more than just surviving campus life; he wanted to build something that would support him long after the semester ended. With determination and a clear vision, Haggai purchased wholesale plastic utensils—plates, cups, buckets, basins, containers, and more.                                                               18th Nov 2025 Today Rastafari Society of Kenya (RSK) filed a petition at Milimani Law Courts asking that the use of cannabis be decriminalised for spiritual purposes.  The Rastafari Society of Kenya at Milimani Law Courts   Lead by lawyer Danstan omar and other rastafarian members  they argue that Rastafarians use cannabis (also called “bhang”) in many forms including smoking, drinking, eating, bathing, burning incense  as a sacrament and part of their religious practice.  Their claim is that current law of  Narcotic discriminates against them by criminalising their sacramental use.  Through their lawyers (including Danstan omar), they are asking the court to: 1.  When Salim Senior walked across the corridor at Multimedia University, cheesing his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, he imagined a future filled with newsrooms, interviews, and bylines. Like many young dreamers, he pictured himself chasing stories, shaping narratives, and giving a voice to the unheard.  Kibabii university today officially ended its 2025/26 cultural week in a style compared to other academic years.  This cultural week has provide a platform for deferent students from different communities to showcase their traditions through songs   dances,and traditional food.  Students from Bungoma country famously know BUCOSA showcase thair talent through songs and dances (kamabeka) On the other hand student from maasai communities participated and entertain thair fellow students with dances from thair community.  Key student leaders — including former SOKU president  former Dennis Baraka, academic secretary Methuselah Wangila, treasurer Macmillan, SG Ayugi, and security & accommodations secretary Kevin Wakaba — joined the university leadership led by the Acting Vice Chancellor in officially concluding the cultural celebrations.
